Michael Yashinsky, 60, of Hartford passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.
He was born Dec. 20, 1946 in Milwaukee to Andrew and Barbara (nee Becker) Yashinsky, and married Mona Luedeman on Feb. 13, 1987 in Thiensville.
Michael loved cooking and was a chef. Among the places he worked were the Wellington Place, Hartford Hospital, Froed-tert Hospital and Stemmler’s White Coach Inn.
He loved riding his motorcycle, spending time with and taking care of his dog, Gershwin, and watching the Packers.
He enjoyed playing chess, and would play online with people from all over the world.
Michael is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Mona; one daughter, Kate Yashinsky; three sons, Matthew (Christine) Keller, Tim (best friend Laura Goeden) Keller and Aaron Ya-shinsky; two granddaughters, Sarah and Lindsey; one sister, Barbara (Norbert) Sobieski; his mother-in-law, Rose Luedeman; and two sisters-in-law, Maria (Jim) Daniels, and Vickie Luede-man.
Michael is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Frederick Luedeman.
Funeral services for Michael will be held Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, with Chaplain Steve Stern officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
