Gordon R. "Bob" Guell

Gordon R. "Bob" Guell, 78, of Eden, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1929, in the town of Osceola, the son of Henry and Mabel Priepke Guell, and graduated from Campbells-port High School.

Gordon proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, and was an active member of the Bintzler-Waehler Legion Post 347 in Lomira.

On June 7, 1958, he was united in marriage, for 48 years, to Rose Mueller at St. Matthew’s in Camp-bellsport.

Gordon was an active member of Shepherd of The Hills Catholic Church in Eden.

He was employed with the Fond du Lac County Highway Department for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; three sons, Timothy (Denise) Guell, James (Claudette) Guell and David (Jeanine) Guell, all of Eden; and a daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Schaefer of Mayville.

He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, Terrell (Irene), Thomas, Haley, Tyler, Jesse and Abby, Henry and Amanda Guell, and Kristin, Aaron and Adam Schaefer; and a sister, Marlene (Willard) Schellpfeffer of May-ville; a sister-in-law, Margaret Guell; and a brother-in-law, Richard Hornburg.

He is also survived by brothers- in-law, Joe (Bea) Mueller, Leo Mueller, Harold (Kathryn) Muel-ler and Lloyd (Pat) Mueller; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Theusch, Olive (Harry) Batzler and Rita Spoerl; and many nieces and nephews.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, LaVern Hornburg; a brother, Allen Guell; two brothers-in-law; and a sister- in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Highway B, Eden.

Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate, and burial will be Tuesday in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Campbellsport.

Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass.
