Laurel A. "Mumsy" Demler

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Laurel A. "Mumsy" Demler at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma. Laurel A. "Mumsy" Demler of Wild Rose, formerly of Cedarburg, passed away at the age of 56 on Friday, March 23, 2007 at her residence, in the presence of her family, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Father Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep will celebrate the funeral Mass. Visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose tomorrow, March 28, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning at the church, prior to the funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Laurel was born in Lanse, Mich., on July 6, 1950, the daughter of Leo and Carol (nee Wettengel) Fish. On Dec. 14, 1974, she married Paul Demler in Cedarburg.

Laurel is survived by her husband Paul Demler of Wild Rose; her children Mark (Mary) Demler of Saukville, Donna (Mike) Howarth of Grafton, Bob (Maureen) Demler of Campbellsport and Nicole (Matt) Stalter of Port Washington; her grandchildren Michelle and Matthew Demler of Saukville, Jason and Sandra Howarth of Grafton, Stephanie Demler of Waupaca, Zachary and Makayla Demler of Campbellsport and Brooklynn Stalter of Port Washington; and her brother Bob (Chantelle) Fish of West Bend. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Laurel was preceded in death by her parents.
