Eleanor M. Neuburg
Eleanor M. Neuburg, nee Mitchell, 88 of West Bend, formerly of Nenno, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born July 15, 1918 in Eden to the late Charles and Elizabeth (nee Fitzgerald) Mitchell and married Alois "Wiese" Neuburg on June 9, 1956 at St. Johnís Cathedral in Milwaukee.
Wiese preceded her in death in 1983.
Eleanor operated two restaurants in Milwaukee and while working there she met her future husband who would deliver farm fresh eggs to her.
Following their marriage, the couple settled in Nenno where she helped her husband operate L.P. Neuburg & Sons General Store and Tavern.
After her husbandís death, Eleanor continued to operate the store until retiring.
In 1996 she moved to West Bend, and for the past two and a half years she was a resident of the Samaritan Health Center.
Survivors include 3 children: John (Judy) of Fox Point, Lambert "Bertie" of German-town and Charlie (Jane) of Mequon; and five grandchildren, Cantor Kari (Joe) Siegel-Eglash of Tulsa, Okla., Greg Siegel of Oshkosh, Cody Neuburg of Madison and Scott Neuburg and Jamie Neuburg, both of Mequon.
She is further survived by a great-granddaughter, Arielle Eglash; a niece, Mary Ann (David) Walters of Campbellsport; and other relatives and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her brother, George.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 12, at noon at Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton, with Rev. Richard Stoffel presiding.
Inurnment will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Nenno.
Visitation will be Saturday, at the church only from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m.
