Robert W. "Bob" Fideler

Robert W. "Bob" Fideler, 68, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007 at his residence.

Robert was born on Nov. 19, 1938 in Delmont, S.D. and graduated from Delmont High School in 1956.

He became a union carpenter in South Dakota in 1960, moving to West Bend in 1965.

Bob was united in marriage to Sharon Young on Dec. 3, 1966 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in West Bend.

He has been a member of United Brotherhood of Carpen-ters and Joiners of America Local Union 2283 since 1966.

His favorite pastimes include: pheasant hunting in South Dakota with his son, Jeff and granddog, Conrad, deer hunting, riding his Harley and gardening.

He enjoyed morning coffee with friends at Omicron in West Bend, and evenings at Moonlight-ing in Barton.

Robert always loved projects, helping others in particular. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending special events for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving children, Terri (Marv) Wagner of West Bend and Jeff (girlfriend Leslie Bassett) Fideler of Kewas-kum; three grandchildren, Brad-ley, Cassandra and Allen Wagner; two sisters, JoAnn (Peter) Maniaci of Elmhurst, Ill. and Deanna (Edward) Nolz of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three brothers, Arthur "Darrell" of West Bend, Larry (Virginia) of Kewaskum and James (Linda) of Campbells-port.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Arthur and Lydia (nee Hochhalter) Fideler; his brother, Calvin; and his special friend, Mary Grams, on March 8, 2007.

A funeral service for Robert will be held on Friday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend, with Pastor Jeff Dorth officiating.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m.

Interment will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
