Fred J. Krause
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg for Fred J. Krause, 87, of Cedarburg formerly of Sheboygan, who was born to eternal life on May 21, 2007 at Columbia St. Maryís Hospital. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at Greenbush Cemetery, immediately following the service.
Fred was born on Dec. 12, 1919 in Sheboygan, the son of the late John and Helen (nee Martin) Krause. He operated Krause Meat Market in Cedarburg, and in later years was employed at Becker Meat Co. Upon retirement, he enjoyed driving cars for local car dealers. Fred enjoyed traveling, gardening and fishing. He served in the United States Army during WW II and was member of the American Legion. He was a longtime faithful member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church and in the past had served as an elder and was an active member of the Menís Club.
Survivors include: daughters Kristine (William) Reay and Kathryn Krause; grandchildren William (Michelle), Allison, Adam and Kimberly; great-grandchild William.
He will also be missed by his many friends, relatives, and valued neighbors.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Hazel (Nee Harder).
