Marietta L.M. Fick
Marietta L.M. Fick, nee Miske. 83, of Jackson, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
Marietta was born on Jan. 15, 1924 to Arthur and Laura (nee Buth) Miske in the town of Jackson, where she was also raised.
On October 7, 1950, she married Raymond Fick at Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church.
After marriage, the couple began a family of their own, residing first in Cedarburg, and later moving to Jackson.
She was a dedicated employee at Circle B in Cedarburg for almost 25 years, and was a member of Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Marietta loved baking chocolate tarts, gardening, making pickles, playing with her grandchildren and playing Yahtzee.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Ralph Fick of West Bend, Willis (Karen) Fick of Hartford and Rachel (Andy) Luplow of Jackson; her adored grandchildren, Dawn, Nathan, Jessica, Angela, Ashley and Amber Rae; and her three treasured great-grandchildren, Tara, Travis and Tyler.
She will also be missed by her sister, Elva Puestow of Jackson; her sisters-in-law, Marjorie Fick of Racine, Doris Gerlach of Newburg and Florence Elhke of Jackson; nieces; nephews; other special relatives and many dear friends.
Marietta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond, in 1998; a sister, Evelyn Herther; and a brother, Martin.
A funeral service in memory of Marietta will be held on Tuesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. at Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2750 Davidís Star Drive, Jackson.
Visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m.
Interment will take place in Zur Ruhe Cemetery on Wednesday, May 30, at 10 a.m.
The Fick family would like to extend their appreciation for memorials offered in lieu of flowers to either Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church or Morning Star.
