Anita Willbrandt, nee Urbanus, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center of West Bend.
She was born on June 29, 1909 to the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (nee Barth) Urbanus in Milwaukee, and married Joseph Paul Willbrandt Sr. in Milwaukee in 1929.
Anita was an active member of Women of the Moose Chapter 732, AARP Chapter 401 and the Senior Citizen Chorus, where she was involved with its yearly show as a performer, singer, and tap dancer.
She was also a member of the Christian Women of St. Frances Cabrini, and was a cofounder of the Young at Heart Club at St. Frances Cabrini.
Anita served with Meals on Wheels for several years.
For many years, she helped children enjoy reading at local schools.
Anita is survived by her son, Joseph (Joan) Willbrandt of Cedarburg; grandchildren, Lynn (Larry) Trujillo, Brian (Mari-helen) Willbrandt, John (Mary) Willbrandt and James (Whitney) Willbrandt; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Alicia, Anna and Alex Trujillo, and Mary Madison, Joseph Dylan, Olivia and Gabrielle Willbrandt.
She is further survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Roger; a brother, Norman Urbanus; and a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Harold Schieble.
The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. Seventh Ave, West Bend, with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass at 11 a.m.
Burial will take place in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church or The Women of the Moose.
