Robert G. Sonnenberg
Robert G. Sonnenberg, 85, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, formerly of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007.
He was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 3, 1922 to the late Erwin and Maude (Huntsinger) Sonnenberg.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Chief Petty Officer First Class and served on the U.S.S. Wisconsin during World War II.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Robert L. (Kathleen) Sonnenberg of West Bend, Steven B. (Dana) Sonnenberg of Sterling, Va. and Jeffery L. (Gail) Sonnenberg of Frederick, Md.; his brother, Thomas Sonnenberg; grandchildren, Megan, Jamie and Ryan Sonnenberg; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Olson Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, with full military honors.
The visitation will be on Sunday at the chapel from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
The Maple Crest Funeral Home, Waupaca, is assisting the family.
