Leonard H. A. Westphal

Leonard H. A. Westphal, 72, of Theresa, entered into eternal peace on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.

Leonard was born on Aug. 24, 1935, the son of Herald and Margaret (nee Zuahlke) Westphal in Hustisford, and on Jan. 9, 1955, he committed his love to Joann Eleanor Ritger.

After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own, whom they raised in the Slinger area.

Leonard will be remembered for always being a loving father, devoted to his family.

He was a dedicated employee of the West Bend Co. for 45 years, and also worked part time for Johnson Brass and Machine Foundry in Kewaskum for many years.

In his free time, he loved woodworking, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed his trips up north and out to Wyoming.

Leonard is survived by his loving children, Angeline Westphal of West Bend, Pamela Nummer-dor (special friend, Ken) of Camp-bellsport, Mary (Bruce) Olson of Green Bay, Suzanne Westphal (special friend, Bob) of Medford, Brenda (Martin) DeBuhr of Wyoming, Tina (Ken) Ziegelbauer of Hartford, Jeffrey Westphal of Slinger and Tim Westphal of Eden; 20 adored grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leonard was greeted at heavenís gates by his parents, his cherished wife, Joann, and his granddaughter, Rebecca.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Jim Herther offering words of remembrance.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 6 p.m.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.
