Eddie Bergin, 81, of Suring died at his residence on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 under hospice care.
Ed was born on July 16, 1926 in Glenbeulah, to the late Carl and Hattie (nee Fenlason) Bergin, and on Nov. 12, 1949 he married Eileen Gundrum at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger.
Following many years of employment as a foreman instal-ling underground cable, Ed re-tired to Suring in 1983.
Ed served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Suring. His favorite pastime was hunting and he enjoyed other outdoor activities.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two daughters, Cindy (Brian) Moran of Suring and Kathleen (William) Schmitt of St. Germaine; two sons, Donald (Janice) Bergin of West Bend and John Bergin of Suring; a brother, Earl (Marilyn) Bergin of Ply-mouth; a sister, Cora Konen of Plymouth; a sister-in-law, Hor-tence Bergin of Plymouth; 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Jeff, Cas-sandra, Mike, Nick, Kevin, Brad-ley, Nathan, Robert, Samantha and Julieanne; and four great-grandchildren, Haley, Ally, Elec-tra and Melanie.
Preceding him in death were a son, Thomas Bergin in 1993; a daughter-in-law, Sue Bergin; three brothers, Carl Jr., Henry and Clarence; and two sisters, Eva and Verna.
Private services will be held at a later date at the family residence with Deacon William Dor-an officiating.
Burial of the urn will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Allenton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to charities.
