Lucile T. Keitel

Lucile T. Keitel, 100, of West Bend died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1907 in Ozaukee County to the late Peter and Anna (nee Mertzig) Theis.

Following her marriage to Harry J. Keitel on May 15, 1929 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Kohler, the couple settled in Fredonia. In 1948, the family moved to West Bend.

After their children were grown, Lucile worked at Alice’s Floral Shop in West Bend for many years.

Harry passed away April 6, 1979.

Throughout the years, Lucile was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing various card games.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Mary K. (Marty) Iverson of Hartland and Kristine (Matthew) Sanfilippo of Milwau-kee; five great-granddaughters, Monika Iverson, Abbey Theiler, Alessandra Sanfilippo, Teresa Sanfilippo and Morgan Iverson; a brother, Ray Theis of Random Lake; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ken (Betty) Keitel; a grandson, Mark Theiler; a brother, Ervin (Hildegard) Theis; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Theis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.

Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Rose Cemetery, Fredonia.

Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday from 4:30 until 6:15 p.m.
