Bernadine E. Taylor

Bernadine E. Taylor, nee Walter, 85 of West Bend died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at the Samaritan Health Center.

She was born Dec. 17, 1921 in West Bend to the late Henry and Martha (nee Boerger) Walter and married Ralph C. Taylor on June 5, 1946 in West Bend.

Bernadine worked in the office at St. Joseph’s Community Hos-pital in West Bend before working at Amity Leather Products for 19 years, retiring in 1985.

She was the bookkeeper for Ralph C. Taylor Painting and Dec-orating for over 50 years.

Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, but she also found time to enjoy their cabin in Tipler.

Bernadine was a member of the Fred A. Schaefer Post 1393 V.F.W. Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Ralph; and nine children, Thomas (Pat) of Monroe, Wash., Patricia (Tom) Steffek of Townsend, Dennis (Sally) of Tipler, Susan (Paul) Maschmeier of West Bend, Kenneth (Sherry) of Kewaskum, Steven (special friend Terri Megonigle) of Newburg, Nancy (Dale) Kordosky of West Bend, Christine (Nick) Schicker of Slinger and Scott (special friend Patty Perras) of West Bend.

She is further survived by 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Delores Phillippi of West Bend and Marie Taylor of West Bend; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Bernadine is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen; her brother, Lloyd Walter; and two sisters, Florence Becker and Rita Schuppel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immacu-late Conception Church in West Bend, with Rev. Michael Moran presiding.

Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church only from 10 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
