Carol Lorraine Paul
Carol Lorraine Paul, nee Schwenke, 74, passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at Syn-ergyHealth, St. Joseph’s Hos-pital, West Bend, after a long battle with several health issues.
Carol was born to Elmer and Frayne (nee Joers) Schwenke on Sept. 28, 1933 in Milwaukee.
Carol graduated in 1951 from Washington High School, Milwaukee.
She met the love of her life, Warren Paul, at age 16 and married him on Aug. 21, 1954. Together they raised three children, residing in Milwaukee until 2000 when they moved to West Bend.
Carol was a stay-at-home Mom for many years, later taking a job at Milwaukee Insurance Co. in February 1989 until her retirement in 1999.
Carol loved spending her time doing crossword puzzles, needle work, bowling, bingo, playing cards (sheepshead and rummy royale), making yearly trips to Las Vegas and countless other casinos in Wisconsin.
She spent her remaining years under the loving care of her daughter, Kathy.
Carol is survived by three adoring children, Loriann Bloom of Florida, Eric (Vicki) Paul of West Bend and Kathleen (Rory) Binkowski of Kohlsville; and five loving grandchildren, Brandon, Jason, Amanda, Rebecca and Nicholas.
She is further survived by two brothers, Gerald (Ellen) and Bruce (Betty) Schwenke; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her much-loved husband of almost 50 years, Warren in 2004; her parents in 1984; and her brother, Kenneth in 1997.
A funeral service in honor of Carol will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 West Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Pastor Viviane Thomas-Breitfeld officiating.
Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery in the town of Polk.
