Robert Carl Erler

Robert Carl Erler, 84, of Edmond, Okla., formerly of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007.

He was born in the town of Farmington, on April 16, 1923 to the late Carl and Amanda (Mueller) Erler. Bob was raised there and graduated from West Bend High School in 1940.

He met his future wife, Charleen "Sharky" Bremser, in West Bend. They were united in marriage on Oct. 4, 1947.

God blessed their marriage with four children, R. Charles, James, Scott and Mark.

Bob and Charleen moved to the Fort Myers area in 1989, and Bob relocated to Edmond, after his wife passed away.

He is survived by his three sons, James of Atlanta, Ga., Scott of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Mark of Edmond; his two daughters-in-law, Mary Erler of Mauston, and Erica Erler of Edmond; his three grandsons, Joseph, Christopher and Mat-thew; and his three great-grandchildren, Travis, Dylan and Nicholas.

He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his son, Chuck.

Funeral services in honor of Robert will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, at 2:30 p.m., at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend, with Rev. Mark Erler officiating.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
