William Ralph "Bill" Wilberg
William Ralph "Bill" Wilberg, of West Bend, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 surrounded by his loving family, after 80 years of life.
Bill was born on July 10, 1927, the son of William and Martha (nee Langenbach) Wilberg in Kenosha.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Miami and Marquette University.
On April 26, 1952, he married Marilyn Frandsen at Grace Lutheran Church.
Bill began his career working with American Motors in aircraft purchasing and was promoted to director of Salaried Personnel and director of Industrial Relations.
In 1967, he was appointed by Governor Warren Knowles to a six-year term with the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission. He then joined Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce as vice president of Operations for 16 years, before joining the National Fluid Power Association as executive director.
Bill was also very active in many civic and charitable organizations and his church.
Above all, family was always his greatest love.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Marilyn; his dear children, William (Doris) Wilberg of Green Bay, Ralph (Renee) Wilberg of West Bend and Mark (Kath) Wilberg of Franklin; and his cherished grandchildren, Rebekah, William R., William Z., James, Jennifer, Rachel and Riley.
He will also be missed by his sister, Geraldine Thomas; his sister-in-law, Betty Wilberg; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Earl, Richard and Gene.
A memorial service to celebrate Billís life will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. Seventh Avenue, West Bend, with Pastor David Schoob officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated in lieu of flowers to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the charity of oneís choice.
