During and after World War II she worked for Springfield Fire and Marine Insurance Co. of Chicago.

After the war Ollie and Fran moved to Sacramento, Calif., where she was employed by the California Teamsters Legislative Council as a legislative secretary for over 25 years.

After retirement, to be closer to their family, the couple moved to Oregon, Idaho and then to Wisconsin.

Active in church activities, Fran volunteered as secretary to Vicar O’Connor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in West Bend. She later began work as a part-time secretary to Pastor O’Con-nor, serving in this capacity for more than five years.
