Paul Norbert Leichtle
Paul Norbert Leichtle, 85, of Winchester Place, Horicon, formerly of Theresa, died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 at The Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
He was born Aug. 5, 1922 in Theresa to Adolph and Angeline (nee German) Leichtle, and married Mildred B. Gundrum on May 10, 1947 in Nenno.
Paul was employed at John Deere Horicon Works, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Theresa American Legion Post 270.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; three children, Ken (Vicki) Leichtle of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Karen (Rick) Hondlik of Mayville and Jim (Dorene) Leichtle of New Berlin; grandchildren, Sean Leichtle, Mick Hondlik, Allison (John) Lorenz, Dean Leichtle and Max Hondlik; sisters and brothers, Betty (Clarence) Steger of Mayville, Tom (Shirley) Leichtle of West Bend and Anna Mae (Frank) Marrese of Lomira; a brother-in-law, Lester Beck of Theresa; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, at noon at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa, with Rev. Father Dennis Budka officiating.
Burial will be in St. Theresa Memorial Garden, Theresa with graveside military rites conducted by Theresa American Legion Post 270.
Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until noon.
The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, is serving the family.
