Arthur A. Peters

Arthur A. Peters, 85, of West Bend passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at the River Way Place in West Bend.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1921 in Woodland to Arthur G. and Catherine (nee Christ) Peters, and married Dorothy Thimm on May 18, 1946 at St. Johnís Church, Rubicon.

Art was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church.

He retired from the Wisconsin Gas Co. after many years of service.

His favorite parting words to us were "take care of your kids and take time to be with your family."

Art is survived by three children, Janice (Frank) Frystak of Farmington Hills, Mich., Judy (Jim) Anderson of Libertyville, Ill. and Karen (Jerry) Hatzung of West Bend; six grandchildren, Whitney (fiancé George Marinoff) and Eric Frystak, Tom (Michelle) Anderson, Michelle (Paul) Holmberg, Brian (Julia) Hatzung and Jeff Hatzung; two great- grandsons, Noah and Lucas Holmberg; two great-granddaughters, Natalie and Isabelle Hat-zung; sisters-in-law, Pat Peters of Watertown and Helen Thimm of Hartford; and a brother-in-law, Harold (Mary) Thimm of Rubi-con.

He is further survived by other relatives and special friends.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Dorothy, in March 2005 and a brother, Ozzie Peters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Kilianís Catholic Church of Hartford, with Father Don Thimm officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Private family burial services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for distribution to their favorite charities would be appreciated.

The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.
