Milton E. "Milt" Bunke

Milton E. "Milt" Bunke, 69, West Bend, died peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1938 in West Bend to the late Ernie and Rose (nee Bruessel) Bunke, and was united in marriage to Rita Schaefer on April 19, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton.

He was employed at Serigraph, Inc. in West Bend for 20 years before becoming a service technician for the 7-Up Bottling Co. of West Bend for another 20 years.

As a young boy, Milt enjoyed spending time with his pa hunting. He eventually passed that tradition on to his two sons by taking them on many hunting trips to Florence County.

He was a NASCAR enthusiast and also enjoyed shooting trap.

Milt was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Rita; and his two loving sons, Scott (Debbie) Bunke of Wauwatosa, and Jeff (Lorie) Bunke of Rosemount, Minn.

He was especially proud of his four grandchildren, Matt, Ben, Kate and Mitch Bunke.

He is further survived by his three sisters, Joan Bunke of Des Moines Iowa, Carol (Bob) Giombetti of Madison and Jan (Doug) Statzer of Fairland, Ill.; and many other relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Miltís life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 1 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Father Jerry Brittain will be the celebrant.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday at the church, from 11a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Memorials to Holy Angels Catholic Church, the American Cancer Societ, or to the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
