Arthur A. Peters

Arthur A. Peters of West Bend passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at the River Way Place in West Bend. He was 85 years old.

He was born Nov. 18, 1921 in Woodland to Arthur G. Peters and Catherine (nee Christ) Peters. He married Dorothy Thimm on May 18, 1946 at St. Johnís Church in Rubicon.

Art was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church. He retired from the Wisconsin Gas Company after many years of service. His favorite parting words to us were "take care of your kids and take time to be with your family."

Art is survived by his three children, Janice (Frank) Frystak of Farmington Hills, Mich., Judy (Jim) Anderson of Libertyville, Ill. and Karen (Jerry) Hatzung of West Bend; six grandchildren, Whitney (fiancé, George Marinoff) and Eric Frystak, Tom (Michelle) Anderson, Michelle (Paul) Holmberg, Brian (Julia) Hatzung, and Jeff Hatzung; two great-grandsons, Noah and Lucas Holmberg; two great-granddaughters, Natalie and Isabelle Hatzung; sisters-in-law, Pat Peters of Watertown and Helen Thimm of Hartford; and one brother-in-law, Harold (Mary) Thimm of Rubicon. He is further survived by other relatives and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Peters in March 2005, and a brother, Ozzie Peters.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur will be Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Kilianís Catholic Church of Hartford, with Father Don Thimm officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends from 3:30 p.m. to the time of service at the church. A private family burial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for distribution to their favorite charities would be appreciated.
