Monica Rose Lorenz

A memorial service was held for Monica Rose Lorenz of Plymouth on Sept. 7 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Monica went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 at the age of 27.

The Rev. James L. Hartman officiated the service.

A time of visitation and support was held at the church on Friday, prior to the service.

Ballhorn Chapels of Sheboygan served the family.

Monica was born on Feb. 2, 1980, daughter of Joy Lorenz and Kenneth Hammond in Milwaukee.

She attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and Plymouth High School. While attending high school, Monica worked as a waitress at Pizza Hut in Plymouth.

Monica was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She received her inspiration from her children and faith in her Savior Jesus Christ.

Monica sang for funerals and weddings as she was gifted with a beautiful voice.

She enjoyed caring for her pets Joe and Moe.

Monica was a pleasant person to be around, as she was loving and caring. She will always be remembered for the happiness she brought into the lives of others.

In addition to her parents, Monica is survived by her two children Mya Love and Adia Rose; a sister Angela Marie Lorenz; maternal grandmother Gertrude Lorenz; aunts and uncle Jerry (Mary) Lorenz, Sue Lorenz, Maxine Jahn and Rosanne (Donald) Korinek.

She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Monica was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Arnold Lorenz.

A memorial fund has been established in Monica’s name.
