Glen C. Eifert
Glen C. Eifert, 71, of Hartford passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at his residence..
He was born July 31, 1936 in Hartford to Carl and Elsie (nee Zastrow) Eifert, and married Lou Anne Ewert on April 28, 1973 at St. Peterís Lutheran Church in Lebanon.
Glen was a 26-year veteran of the Hartford Fire Department. He worked for the Chrysler Corp. for 24 1/2 years, and Briggs & Stratton for 22 1/2 years. Glen was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lou Anne; his son, Brad (Tracy) Eifert of Campbellsport; a grandson, Conrad; a brother Gerald "Butch" Eifert of Hart-ford; and a brother-in-law, Franklin (Mary Ann) Ewert of Neosho; two godchildren, Pastor Jodi Henrichs and Sherri Klump.
Glen is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy and his parents.
Funeral services for Glen will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 Hwy K South, Hartford, with Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the church.
Private family interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
