Esther M. Koch

Esther M. Koch, 95, passed away Sunday, Sept, 16, 2007 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Bend.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1912 in West Bend to the late Edward and Ida (nee Krause) Koch, and graduated from West Bend High School in 1931.

Esther spent her life working in West Bend as a bookkeeper and secretary.

She first worked for the former Roger OíMeara Appliance Store, then for the city of West Bend in the City Clerkís Office and finally for the former Imperial Floor Covering Co. She retired in 1977.

Esther was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star West Bend Chapter 73.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lucille Koch of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Milton Roell of West Bend; three nieces, Paula Canby of West Bend, Margaret Shelton of Glendale, Ariz. and Marion Haizel of Oshkosh; seven nephews, William (Bette) Koch, Luke (Mary) Koch and Eugene (Mary) Roell, all of West Bend, Jack Roell of Harshaw, David (Madelyn) Roell, Robert Roell and Donald (Darlene) Roell, all of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

Esther was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Koch and Ella Roell; three brothers, Paul Koch, Edward Koch, an infant brother Chester; and a nephew, John Koch.

It was Estherís re-quest that there be no formal funeral service or visitation.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, with Chaplin Susan Kolb of Cedar Community officiating.

Memorials may be given in Estherís name to the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund or the charity of the donorís choice.
