Dorothy Teresa Kreuzer
Dorothy Teresa Kreuzer, former Cedarburg resident, passed away in Glendale, Ariz. on June 26, 2007 at the age of 92.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church on Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg. Interment will take place at the church cemetery following the Mass.
Dorothy was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 3, 1914, daughter of George W. and Lorena Kornely.
She married Joseph Kreuzer in 1936. They moved to Cedarburg in 1942 where they raised their six children.
They later retired to Manitowish Waters and, in 1983, moved to Scottsdale, Ariz.
Dorothy was a great seamstress and enjoy-ed sewing for her family, decorating her house and doing alterations for others. She was very active with the Jaycettes, the PTA and the Welcome Basket.
Her interests included golfing, bowling, traveling and music, and actively supporting her children’s interests in music.
Although Dorothy was a homemaker most of her life, after the children were grown, she worked for a time at Armbruster Jewelers in Cedarburg.
Survivors include her children Georgia Williams of Pullman, Wash., Joe (Louise) of Arvada, Colo., Mary (Tyrone) Rennicke of Wausau, Dick (Sue) of Avondale, Ariz., Karl (Teresa) of Cascade, Colo.; and her sister Virginia Wehse of Thiensville. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her daughter Louise; two grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
