Anne P. Uebele
Anne P. Uebele, nee Novak, 85, of West Bend died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.
She was born April 18, 1922 in Millston, Wis. to the late Frank and Mary (nee Jerse) Novak, and married Robert L. Uebele on Oct. 12, 1946 at the Grand Avenue United Brethren Church in Port Washington.
Bob preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1991.
Anne served in the U.S. Army as a nursesí aide during World War II.
Following their marriage, Anne and Bob settled in West Bend where she was an active volunteer with the Red Cross, taught Sunday School at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church and was a nursesí aide at Badger Middle School.
She was a member of the West Bend Womanís Club and the West Bend Garden Club.
Survivors include her five children, Laurel Williams of Oshkosh, Robert (Kathy) of Austin, Texas, Barbara Sippel of Memphis, Tenn., William (Laurie) of Indianapolis, Ind. and Craig of Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and and six great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her two sisters, Sophia Bostwick of Port Washington and Dorothy Rusch of Bur-lingame, Calif.; her sister-in-law, Eunice Snyder of Spokane, Wash.; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, at noon at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Chaplain Kathryn Kuhn of Cedar Community Hospice officiating.
Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be Wednesday, at the funeral home from 11 until 11:45 a.m.
