Darlene E. Palmer
Darlene E. Palmer, nee Best, 78, of West Bend passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 12, 1929 in Milwaukee to Frederick and Henrietta (nee Young) Best, and was united in marriage to Wallace Palmer on June 28, 1947.
Darlene enjoyed baking and collecting recipes. She dearly loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace; her children, Wallace (Judy) Palmer Jr. of Appleton, Dale (Donna) Palmer of Hartford, Deborah (Earl) Christ-ianson of Hartford and Ann (Bernie) Plaskey of West Bend; nine grandchildren, Todd, Wally James, Adam, Keith (Stacy), Daniel (Katy), Andy, Ellissa, Rebecca and Melodie; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Aus-tin, Kyle, Aaron, Natalie, Warren and Jorden; her brothers and sisters, Betty Hannemann of Mesa, Ariz., Marion (Ben) Thorn of Hartford, Margaret "Peggy" (Anton "Tony") Fritche of Beaver Dam and Nancy Brown of Hartford.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jean (Ivan) Cooper; and two brothers-in-law, Fred Hannemann and Wayne Brown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford.
Family will greet family and friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hartford Food Pantry or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission are appreciated.
