Chrisanthia E. Schmidt

Chrisanthia E. Schmidt, nee Hesprich, 77, of Hubertus went home to her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hos-pital in West Bend.

She was born in Rubicon on March 25, 1931 to Joseph and Adeline (nee Gehring) Hesprich, and was united in marriage to Daniel Schmidt on June 27, 1953 at St. John Catholic Church, Rubicon.

Chrisanthia loved flower gardening, embroidering, canning, baking and cooking; she was especially known for her sauerkraut.

She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Chrisanthia loved babysitting for her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Daniel; her beloved children, Roger (Patty) Schmidt of Eau Claire, Bonnie (Andy) Schoofs of the town of Erin, Anthony (Kathleen) Schmidt of Slinger, Julie (Tim) Fronsee of Florida, Kenneth (Sue) Schmidt of Slinger, Daniel (Tracy) Schmidt of Scandinavia, and Donna (Scott) Chappell of Ridgeway; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Jerry Hesprich of Rubicon; a sister, Rita (Joseph) Sonn of Deerbrook; five sisters-in-law, Arlis Hesprich of Pewaukee, Delores Bernarde of West Bend, Ruth Stern of Waterford, Joan Rundel of Verona and Helen Sennott of Menomonee Falls.

Chrisanthia is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Joseph; brothers Armand and Linus Hesprich; and infant twins, Andrew and Josephine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, with Rev. Charles Hanel officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 9 to 11 a.m.

Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Rubicon.
