Dean Robert "Deano" Fichtner
Dean Robert "Deano" Fichtner, 48, of West Bend entered into eternal peace in the loving arms of his wife Donna, on Monday, April 7, 2008.
Dean was born into the loving arms of Joseph and Grace (nee Cannizzaro) Fichtner on May 13, 1959 in Milwaukee.
One of Dean’s early passions when he was younger was to become a forest ranger.
Dean loved fishing, nature, wildlife, participating in all sports and was an avid golfer.
Some of Deans other loves included history, watching Wild West movies, crossword puzzles and coffee, landscaping with his wife and spending time with his granddaughters, Annessa and Malena.
He enjoyed listening to music, especially that of his nephew Josh’s band, Renderd.
Dean will be most remembered for his one liners and his sense of humor.
Dean will be missed by the love of his life and best friend, Donna Jo (nee Schloemer) of West Bend; three adoring daughters, Elizabeth Fichtner of Sheboygan, Christina Otto of Sheboygan and Amanda Kay Schloemer of West Bend.
Dean will be further missed by his two granddaughters.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Susan (Jeff) Michaelson of West Bend, Mark (Deana) Fichtner of Theresa, Gary (Cathy) Fichtner of West Bend, Gina (Robert) Schroeter of Grafton, Brian (Kathy) Fichtner of Germantown and Paul (Annie) Fichtner of West Bend.
He will be deeply missed by his mother-in-law, Jonnie Kay Schloemer, nieces; nephews; special relatives and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph Fichtner; and his father-in-law, Donald Joseph "DJ" Schloemer Sr.
Dean and Donna were in a committed and loving relationship for 18 years before they were wed under a special tree in their front yard on Oct. 20, 2007; a beautiful day in the eyes of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A funeral service in memory of Dean will be held Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.
Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Cremation will be held at Paradise Cremation Services, and private burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
