Janet "Mumzie" O達ryon
Janet "Mumzie" O達ryon, nee Anderson, 73, of Hartford, summer resident of Cornucopia, and winter resident of Lake Havasu, Ariz., passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2008 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Menomonee Falls.
She was born Aug. 23, 1934 in Washburn to Arthur and Jennie (Forde) Anderson, and was united in marriage to Jim O達ryon.
Jan was a 1952 graduate of Washburn High School and attended the Minnesota School of Business.
She worked for the Bayfield County Welfare Department for 11 years.
She was a secretary at Washburn High School, and a substitute at Hartford Union High School as well as many local churches and organizations.
Jan shared her love for music by being a church organist and choir director, as well as leader of the children痴 cherub choir, accompanist to many students at solo and ensembles and a piano teacher for many years at her home.
Survivors include her dear husband, Jim. She was the loving mother of Michael O達ryon, Wade (Cheryl) O達ryon, Sheryl (Randy) Sanger and Dan (Irma) O達ryon; and proud grandma of Austin and Brandon Sanger and Andrea and Alec O達ryon.
She is further survived by her sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and many dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Arthur and John; and her sister, Doris.
A memorial service for Jan will be held Friday, April 18, at 6 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.
Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
The family will also hold a memorial service in Cornucopia for Jan.
Memorials to the South Shore Educational Foundation Music Department are greatly appreciated.
