Ewald Martin Lisko

Ewald Martin Lisko, 93, of Juneau, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008.

He was born Jan. 4, 1915, the son of Alfred and Ida (nee Berndt) Lisko in the town of Herman, and married Alice Baumann on Sept. 11, 1937 at Zum Kripplein Christi in Iron Ridge.

Soon after, they established their home in Juneau, and Ewald work-ed 46 years until his retirement at Dairyland Milk Processing Plant and successor companies.

Ewald was a longtime member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau, serving on the church council and school board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice in June 2002; his brothers, Arnie and Walter Lisko; his sisters, Ardis Sloboda and Edna Baumgartner; and his sons-in-law Leon Weisensel and Dennis Dehne.

He is survived by his sisters, Hulda Hetzel of Hartford and Ruth (Allan) Musack of Hartford; his sister-in-law, Deloris Bau-mann; his children, Donald (Lolly) Lisko of Seattle, Wash., Dianna Weisensel of Juneau, Dorothy Dehne of Post Lake and Dennis (Sally) Lisko of Juneau; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 S. Main St., Juneau, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at the church at 3 p.m., with Rev. Paul Hirsch officiating.
