Frederick W. Korth

Frederick W. Korth, 84, of Lomira, formerly of West Bend, died peacefully at Hope Health and Rehabilitation on Thursday, April 20, 2008.

He was born March 11, 1924, in Mayville, the son of Carl Sr. and Minnie (Luehring) Korth, and was a graduate of Mayville High School.

On Nov. 26, 1949, Frederick married Rosina Gassner in Mayville.

He worked at the West Bend Co. in West Bend until his retirement, and was a member of its retirement club.

Frederick was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.

He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a very proud member of the American Legion Post 69 for more than 60 years.

Frederick will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, Betty Korth of Mayville and Irma Weyer of Fond du Lac; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Rosina in 2006; his parents; a brother, Carl; and four sisters, Adela, Dorothy, Elfrieda and Alice.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 14, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville, with Rev. James Mallmann and Rev. Matthew Shive officiating.

Visitation was at the church from 3 until 4 p.m.

Interment was in St. Mary Cemetery, Mayville.

The Koepsell Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Mayville, assisted the family.
