Viola O. Endres

Viola O. Endres, nee Findling, 86, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Hartford, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac.

Viola was born on Dec. 5, 1921 in Hartford to Gustav and Martha (nee Walrabenstein) Findling, and she was united in marriage to Maurice Endres on July 11, 1942 at St. John Church near Ackerville.

Viola was a homemaker and she farmed alongside Maurice in the town of Erin. She dearly loved caring for her family.

Viola was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartford and was a member of the United Methodist Women and Hannah Circle.

Survivors include her children, Beverly (Thomas) Schatz of Rubicon and Roger (Susan) Endres of Hartford: a son-in-law, Leo Connell of Hartford; five grandchildren, Andrew (Angela) Schatz of Brookfield, Sarah (James) Green, Adam, Carleton and Michael Endres all of Hartford; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Schatz; a sister-in-law, Grace Bruni of Hartford; and a brother-in-law, William (Florence) Endres of Slinger.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; a daughter, Caroline; and two brothers, Oscar and Archie (Louise) Findling.

Funeral services for Viola will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Hartford, with Rev. Brian Kundinger officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to First United Methodist Church are appreciated.
