Francis "Pete" Buckley

Francis "Pete" Buckley, 70, of Oxford, formerly of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1937, in Norway, Mich. to the late Francis and Susie (nee Goodchild) Buckley, and was united in marriage to Mary Ann Lemcke on Dec. 22, 1956 in Flushing, Mich.

Pete worked at the Roundyís Foods warehouse for many years.

He and Mary Ann also owned and operated the Chefís Corner Restaurant in Tomahawk for six years.

Pete enjoyed fishing with his sons and bowling.

He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; five children, Lyle (Ellyn) Buckley of Montello, Alan (Jackie) Buckley of West Bend, Diane (Dean) Calliari of Kewas-kum, Cheryl (Daniel) Rudolf of West Bend and Jeff Buckley of West Bend; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (Art) Davey of Arizona and Susie Verdien of West Bend; and six brothers, Rudy Buckley of Texas, Roger (Virgie) Buckley of Florida, James Buckley of Texas, Larry Buckley of Texas, Gary (Paula) Buckley of Michigan and Mike (Diane) Buckley of St. Louis, Mo.

He is also survived by his lifetime friend, Francis Dawson of Escanaba, Mich., other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Buckley and Patrick Buckley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, 608 S. Sixth Ave., West Bend.

Rev. Brian Rhode of St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Oxford, will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday from noon until the time of services.
