Elizabeth "Betty" Ramthun

Elizabeth "Betty" Ramthun of Lasata Care Center died at the age of 86 on Friday morning, April 18, 2008 at Lasata, where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on April 29 at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., in Port Washington.

The Rev. Tom Osterfield will officiate the funeral service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5 p.m to 7 p.m., prior to the service.

Burial will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.

Betty was born on May 10, 1921 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Frank and Anna Jenders Sander.

She married Sylvester Ram-thun on March 6, 1943 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Sylvester preceded her in death in 1988.

Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg and the Cedarburg Senior Center where she enjoyed Crafty Ladies and playing bingo. She was also an avid square dancer.

Betty is survived by her children Ellen (Ron) Fuchs of Denver, Colo., Daniel (Linda) Ramthun of Grafton, James (Judith) Ramthun of Cedarburg and Patricia (Charles) Anderson of Watertown. She is further survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by one sister.
