Janet L. Boppre
Janet L. Boppre, nee Ripple, 87, of West Bend died on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1920 in Milwaukee to the late Gerald and Grace (nee Holmes) Ripple, and on Nov. 4, 1939, she was united in marriage to Edward Boppre at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Edward passed away on Sept. 2, 1990.
The couple lived in Milwaukee until moving to North Carolina in 1984.
Since 2001, Janet has lived in West Bend to be closer to her family.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Janet also loved to paint and garden and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
She was a member of a resident advisory board at the Samaritan Health Center.
Survivors include three children, Richard (Barbara) of West Bend, Elena "Sue" (James) Burmeister of Canton, Ga. and Jeanne (Bob) Ferron of Brook-field; six grandchildren, Timothy (Dawn), Bryan (Vanessa) Krohn, Michelle (Andrew) Patton, Chris-tine, Peggy (Timothy) Martin and Nicole (Steve) Kern; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Streeter of West Bend and Helen Blaskey of Madison; a brother, Paul (Elaine) Ripple of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Ray Schmidt; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, David.
Memorials services will be held on Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend, with Father Richard Wendell officiating.
Burial of the cremated remains will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 5:45 p.m.
