Catherine C. Hartwig (Schmitt), passed away Aug. 5, 2008, at the age of 100.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Zahn, Bob (Carolyn) Hartwig, Ruth (Ken) Hintzman, Dick (Jan) Hartwig, Jean Zywicki, Jim (Kathy) Hartwig and Lynn (Dave) Zelm. Further survived by 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Christ; sons-in-law, Ray Zahn and Don Zywicki; and grandson, Michael Hartwig. The Rev. Patrick Wendt celebrated Mass at noon today at St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Interment at Holy Cross Cedmetery, Milwaukee. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to noon, today at the church. Memorials appreciated. Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, is serving the family, 262-284-4431.
