He came to live in the Campbellsport area in 1929 when his parents purchased a farm on Highway V just north of Campbellsport.

During his life he worked for the village of Campbellsport, as a machine shop equipment operator at West Bend Co. early in his life and then again for 20-plus years after the age 65 at Johnson Hydraulic Gear in Kewaskum and West Bend.

But he was best known in the local community for his work with C.J. Kleinhans Co. and from his home for repairing radios televisions and appliances. This work brought him into contact with many area residents.

His devotion to his work however was always secondary to his support and loving care for his family who will miss him very much.
