Jerry W. Loomis, 75

Jerry Wayne Loomis of West Bend entered into eternal peace on Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at his home at 75 years of age.

Jerry was born into the loving arms of the late Solomon and Pauline (Wilde) Loomis on Dec. 4, 1932. in Racine.

Jerry was raised in Marquette, Mich, attending and graduating from Graveraet High School in 1951.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, being honorably discharged in 1955.

He met and married the love of his life, Janice B. Ubert, on Aug. 30, 1958, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

In January of 1961 Jerry took employment with Milsco Manufacturing Co. in Brown Deer, retiring in July of 1996.

Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus of West Bend, the Moose Lodge of West Bend, the American Legion Post in Saukville and past member of the West Bend Dance Club and Jackson Lionís Club.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his children, Lisa (William) Carlson of Long Grove, Ill., and Kevin (Jennifer) Loomis of Norway, Mich. He will be further missed by his loving grandchildren, Hayley, Kyle, Katie, Michael, Mia and Chad Carlson, and David and Adam Loomis; one brother, Sig (Fran) Loomis; and other relatives and special friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Janice B. (Ubert).

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend, WI 53095), with the Rev. Jeff Haines officiating.

Friends and family may visit from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.

Burial will follow Mass at Washington County Memorial Park on Friday.
