Franz "Frank" A. Fink
Franz "Frank" A. Fink of Grafton passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N. Port Washington Road, in Mequon. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
Franz was born in Germany on April 11, 1929. He met his wife Ingeborg "Inge" in Germany and they married in 1954. The couple moved to the U.S. in 1956 and resided in Milwaukee. In 1962, they moved to Grafton and made it their permanent home.
Franz was a cheesemaker by trade, learning his craft in Europe. He and his wife operated two Dairy Queen outlets and later started work for Kraft Foods, cheese division, as a representative for the state of Wisconsin. He retired in 1988.
Franz was a member of two German clubs in Milwaukee and was involved with the German Fest throughout the years.
He enjoyed golfing, his community and spending time with his family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Ingeborg E. Fink; his daughter, Ellen C. (Stephan E.) Datz; and his grandson, Stephan F. Datz.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Fred and Konrad Fink.
