Franklin F. Groth
Funeral services will be held for Franklin F. Groth of Grafton at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Franklin passed away at the age of 87 on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Franklin was born in Grafton on Oct. 20, 1920, the son of the late Erwin and Beata (nee Heidtke) Groth. Franklin was united in marriage to Norma (nee Hennig) on Oct. 11, 1947 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church on Pleasant Valley Road in West Bend. Franklin worked as a farmer all of his life and loved to bowl and play dartball.
Franklin is survived by his wife Norma; his children, Julie Groth of Portland, Ore., Dianne Groth of Bayview, Alan (Ruth) Groth of Danville, Ill., Annette (Ronald) Mason of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Jerry (Nancy) Groth of Saukville, Christine Groth of Grafton and Janice (Dennis) Curtin of Appleton; his grandchildren, Jackie Groth, Samuel Groth, Jamie Groth, Paul Groth and Alexandria Curtin; his sisters, Lillian Kohlwey, Myrtle Laubenstein, Doris (Glen) Cram and Mae Cram.
Franklin was preceded in death by his children, Joyce and Judy; and his sister, Ethel.
