Joyce E. Kempf
Joyce E. Kempf, 81, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1927, in West Bend, the daughter of the late Paul and Anita (Dreher) Dean, and on Aug. 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Henry Kempf at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Joyce was a charter member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Those Joyce leaves behind include her loving husband, Henry; five children, Diane (Robert) Swanson of West Bend, Sandra (Dr. Mark) Knutson of Dousman, Donna Roos of Fond du Lac, Terry (Sue) Kempf of Evansville and Christine (Glen) Soehrmann of Hubertus; a brother, Paul (Joan) Dean of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Dean of North Fond du Lac and Karen (Dale) Bell of West Bend; 11 grandchildren;eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Richard; and two brothers, Lloyd and Tom Dean.
Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend. the Rev. Joseph Fisher and the Rev. Christopher Raffa will officiate, and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
Joyce’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kathy Hospice for the care provided to Joyce.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted Joyce’s arrangements.
