Ingeborg “Inge” Meyer, 88


Ingeborg “Inge” Meyer, age 88 years, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Cedar Lake Health And Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Germany to Anton and Emma Lange. They moved to Milwaukee , Wisconsin in 1925. She met Walter Meyer and was married on October 24, 1944. Together they designed and built their home in Saukville and raised their family there.

Inge was a wonderful loving Mom and Grandmother and was a master of many arts. She played first chair, 2nd section, at the debut of the Milwaukee Chamber Symphony Orchestra at the Pabst Theater in 1948, and also enjoyed playing the accordion and organ. Inge was also a professional photographer and photographic retoucher. She also excelled at china painting, leather tooling, stained glass, painting in many medias and numerous hand crafts. Inge was also a member of the Port Washington Coast Guard Auxiliary, from the mid 1980’s thru the early 1990’s and received an award for a training dummy “Peggy Sue” she designed and created.

Inge is survived by her daughter Lori Fisher of West Bend , her grandchildren Marie Wetzel of Tacoma , Washington , Anna Fisher of West Bend and Anton Fisher of West Bend , and other relatives and friends. She was loved by many.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter.

Private services will be held at a later date for Inge.

The family would like  to express heartfelt thanks to the many caregivers who helped Inge “Inks”to enjoy her last years in as much comfort as possible.
