Elinor M. Frankow
Elinor M. Frankow (Turrish), 94, of West Bend, died on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at St. Camillus Care Center.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1914, in Buena Vista, Wis., to the late George and Zita (Bowden) Turrish.
As a child, the family moved to Stevens Point, where she attended local schools, graduating from Emmerson High School. She then went on to St. Agnes School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1934. In 1935, she became a board certified registered nurse.
On September 3, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond O. Frankow in Fond du Lac. Dr. Frankow preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 2006.
Following her marriage, she moved to West Bend where she raised her children and made her home.
She was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish and the Christian Women's Confraternity..
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara (Dr. Maury) Graves, Kathleen (Atty. Richard) Chabot, Patricia (Dr. Carl) Moyer and Charlotte Boyle; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Roman; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary (Dr. James) Roberts; and five brothers and sisters, James Turrish, Alice Kaye, Margaret Leahy, Nan Mackaben and George Turrish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Fr. Jeff Haines presiding. Please meet at the church. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Order of St. Camillus Foundation, 10200 W Bluemound Rd, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
