Anton P. Wentz

Anton P. "Tony" Wentz, 69, of the town of Trenton, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 18, 1939 in Selz, N.D., to the late Anton and Magdelena (nee Ganje) Wentz, and married Margaret M. Grabman on April 14, 1975 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Tony was the manager of National Foods in West Bend for many years. In 1984 he started working as a truck driver in Waukesha and Milwaukee and continued until his retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Anton is survived by his wife, Margaret; five children, Terry (Karen) Wentz of West Bend, Tim Wentz of Milwaukee, Tammy (Don) Rolf of Neenah, Brenda Murley of Neenah and Larry (Laurie) Mylrea of Fox Lake; and his very close friend, Carol (Butch) Stoflet of Milwaukee. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, Nicole (special friend Joe Young) Wentz, Kristina Wentz, Anthony Wentz, Adam Wentz, Ashley Rolf, Melissa (special friend Lumb) Rolf, Rebecca (Tyler) Creviere, Alisha Murley, Joey Murley and RJ Mylrea; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Young and Kira Rolf; five siblings, Edward (Hilda) Wentz of Minot, N.D., Lenora Dye of Fulton, Mo., Clarence (Carol) Wentz of West Bend, Delores (Leo) Fettig of West Bend and Norman Wentz of Milwaukee; and many loving nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, August and Herbert.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with the Rev. Richard Wendell officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
