Dorothy M. Geib
Dorothy Marie "Bunny" Geib (Kennedy), 76, of West Bend passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at her residence.
Dorothy was born on March 26, 1932, the day before Easter to Douglas and Margaret (Downey).
Bunny grew up in Chicago, where she met her sweetheart husband, James P. Geib in eighth grade. Jim and Bunny loved each other and were married on March 3, 1950, and were married for 56 years.
Jim passed away on Dec. 23, 2006.
Bunny loved her children and volunteered as a teacherís aide while her children attended St. Walterís school in Roselle, Ill.
She was also involved with the Roselle Recreation Associa-tion (RRA) and belonged to many other groups over the years.
Bunny had a kind heart for anyone and everyone. She carried this through with loving her grandchildren. Bunny absolutely adored all of her grandchildren and liked to show it with spoiling them, being there for them, teaching them and simply loving them.
She enjoyed bowling.
Bunny will be greatly missed among her family and endless amount of friends with whom she has been friends with, many of them, for years and years.
Bunny is survived by her children, Wendy of Illinois, James "Jim" of Illinois, Jeff (Lisa) of West Bend and Jess (Erica) of Kewaskum. Further survived by her loving grandchildren, Jake (Lilia), Jennifer (Frank), J.P., Josh, Julie, Jeana, John and Sophia; great-grandchildren, J.J. and Andrew; two sisters, Patricia Leahy of California and Judy Kennedy of New Mexico; two brothers-in-law, John (Connie) of Pembine, and Joe (Claire) of Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband James.
A funeral service for Bunny will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Fr. Jeffrey Haines officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Cemetery in Illinois.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service, 8 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated to the American Breast Cancer Society in Dorothyís name.
