Sharon Y. Walker
Sharon Y. Walker, nee Wade, 58, of West Bend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008.
Sharon was born on Jan. 11, 1950 in Raymondville, Texas to the late Herman and Mildred (nee Sundling) Wade.
As a little girl Sharon moved with her family from Texas to Fredonia before finally settling in West Bend. She attended West Bend High School and graduated in 1968.
She was united in marriage to her high school sweet heart, Thomas Walker, on June 19, 1971 at St. Mary’s Immaculate Concep-tion Church in Barton.
Sharon’s family was always very important to her, and as a young wife and new mother she stayed at home to raise her three sons.
Sharon was a very hard worker, and once her children were older she worked for Enger-Kress in West Bend for 18 years.
She had been employed by Quality Stamping in Jackson for the past four years.
In addition to the loyal service she provided these employers, she also enjoyed a part time job working at the West Bend Country Club for the past 15 years.
Sharon loved to travel, she enjoyed dancing and listening to music, and had an unfailing passion for planting flowers in her garden.
She had a talent for sewing and made many outfits for her children when they were young.
Sharon was a very special woman and will be deeply missed by many.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Thomas; her three sons, Christopher and Andrew, both of Milwaukee, and Ryan of West Bend; and her two granddaughters, Cassandra and Jasmine Walker of West Bend.
She is further survived by her brother, Thomas (Sue) Wade of West Bend; her three sisters, Marilyn Dennhof of Grafton, Debbie (Tom) Bohn and Cindy (Robert) Dish, both of West Bend; and other dear relatives, many from Texas, and close friends.
A memorial service in honor of Sharon’s life will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend, with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.
