James "Jim" Christie
A memorial service celebrating the life of James "Jim" Christie of Shorewood will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Jim was called to everlasting peace on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at the age of 43.
Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Jim was born in Port Washington on July 7, 1964, the son of Thomas and Joyce (Freiberg) Christie of Cedarburg.
Jim attended Grafton Public Schools and graduated as valedictorian from Grafton High School in 1982.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 with a bachelor of science de-gree in electrical engineering and computer science.
He was em-ployed by IBM in Fishkill, N.Y. for three years and by Northwestern Mutual Financial Services in Milwaukee for 17 years.
Jimís life was enriched by spending time with his friends, travel, following Drum and Bugle Corps shows and, most of all, singing tenor in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
Jim was a very caring person and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Jim is survived by his parents Tom and Joyce Christie; his sister Carol Christie of McFarland; his nieces Rebecca and Madison; and his grandmother Jeanette Christie of Appleton. He is further survived by aunts, uncles and cousins, and many, many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Christie; and his grandparents Al and Fritzie Freiberg.
