Margaret "Cathie" Rosenthal

Margaret "Cathie" Rosenthal, 62, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 at St. Maryís Hospital in Madison.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1945 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Muenk) Carlson.

Cathie was a 1963 graduate of West Bend High School and on Sept. 5, 1964, she was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Rosenthal at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Her active interests in West Bend were gardening, baking, hiking and photography.

Since moving to Baraboo in 2002, her biggest joy in life came from working at the Broadway Dinner Theatre in Wisconsin Dells where she found her niche as an ambassador and greeter of good will.

In addition, she was also a greeter at Tommy Bartlett Water Show in the summer of 2007.

Cathie was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bara-boo, St. Johnís Lutheran Church in West Bend, the Riverside and Great Northern Railway of Wisconsin Dells and the Red Hat Society.

Cathie easily made friendships with everyone she crossed paths with, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" Rosenthal; her mother, Margaret Carlson of West Bend; a daughter, Amy (Chuck) Marx of West Bend; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Taylor and Josi Marx of West Bend; two sisters, Dr. Karen Carlson (Dr. Ken Phillips) of Lakeland, Fla. and Linda (John) Esselman of West Bend; other relatives and many friends; and her two Siamese cats, Charlie and KoKo, whom Cathie truly enjoyed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold; and a grandson, Brandon Marx.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Dennis Schueler and Pastor Timothy Anderson officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
