Jeanette "Jean" A. Leverance
Jeanette "Jean" A. Leverance, 82, of Slinger, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation in West Bend.
Jean was born on June 4, 1925 in Hartford, where she was raised, to Theodore and Cath-erine (nee Rohlinger) Frank.
On July 24, 1948 she married Maurice Leverance and began her family, living her married life in Slinger.
In her younger years Jean enjoyed being a Candystriper at Hartford Hospital during World War II, and later, spending time for 17 years in Florida during the winter, playing bingo two times a week and playing cards the other days of the week.
Jean was an active member of St. Peterís Church, the Christian Motherís of the church, Legion of Mary, former choir member and the Slinger Senior Citizens Club.
Jean is survived by her husband, Maurice; two sons, Michael (ChrisAnn) of West Bend and Thomas (Connie) of Enis, Okla.; six grandchildren, Mike (Carrie Ann) Leverance, Catherine (Leon) Steltz, Matthew (Jen) Leverance, Kyle Brown, Joshua and Kathryn Leverance; and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Clayton, Ethan and Chase; and a brother, Robert "Bob" (Rita) Frank of Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ervin Frank; three sisters-in-law, Wilma and Frances Frank, and Mary Jane Rhode.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger.
Visitation at the church will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until time of Mass.
Cremation will follow at Paradise Cremation Service, and placement of cremains will be in St. Peterís Cemetery.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
